We take craftsmanship seriously, operate state-of-the-art equipment, and hold ourselves to a high standard on every project that comes through our doors.Up to $45/hr (DOE)Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting the 1st of the monthShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Retirement PlanGenerous PTO: 3 weeks PTO, 2 floating holidays, plus 10 paid company holidaysCareer Growth: Clear path for advancement within a growing organizationIndustry Impact: Work alongside a skilled team supporting major defense and shipbuilding programs including Electric Boat and Newport News ShipbuildingJob DetailsSet up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components to specRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate part productionMonitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standardsPerform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesIdentify and troubleshoot issues with tooling, fixturing, and machining processes to minimize downtimeFollow all quality and safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work areaCollaborate with programmers, engineers, and other machinists to meet production goals and deadlinesQualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specificationsWorking knowledge of G-code and basic machine offsetsExperience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gaugesStrong attention to detail with the ability to hold tight tolerances consistentlyFamiliarity with quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production settingJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
