Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 x 12-hour shifts
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in maternal-child nursing, excellent critical thinking abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs throughout labor and delivery.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed.
Assist with labor induction procedures and support patients during the childbirth process.
Prepare and maintain delivery rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Assist physicians, obstetricians, and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring recovery and educating families.
Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and complications.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience .
Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience .
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience .
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification .
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong Labor & Delivery clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.
Strong teamwork and patient-centered care approach.
