Location: Remote – United States Schedule: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM ET (East Coast) or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM PT (West Coast)
A leading global AmLaw firm is seeking an experienced Conflicts Attorney to join its Conflicts Team and work closely with the Office of General Counsel (OGC). This role supports the firm’s risk management function, with a focus on complex conflicts analysis involving new clients, matters, and lateral attorney hires.
This is an excellent opportunity for a conflicts professional to work on sophisticated matters, advise partners on risk and resolution strategies, and collaborate with senior legal leadership in a global law firm environment.
Review and analyze complex conflicts reports for new clients, matters, and lateral hires, advising partners on potential legal and business risks.
Develop conflict resolution strategies, draft and negotiate conflict waivers, and prepare and implement ethical walls and screening memoranda.
Analyze lateral attorney matter lists, identify potential conflicts, and coordinate appropriate resolutions with partners and laterals.
Work closely with partners and the Office of General Counsel on conflicts assessment, risk management, and ethical considerations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to conflicts analysts on research, corporate family tree analysis, matter maintenance, and report preparation.
Research applicable professional conduct rules, ethics opinions, and case law, including developments affecting conflicts of interest.
Support urgent requests and participate in periodic on-call coverage, including occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
Approximately four or more years of conflicts attorney experience preferred, ideally within a large, multi-office law firm.
Strong knowledge of conflicts of interest, professional responsibility, legal ethics, and law firm risk management.
knowledge of international professional conduct rules is a plus.
100% remote within the United States, with flexibility to visit a local office for training and team meetings as needed.
- Sophisticated conflicts work with direct exposure to partners and senior attorneys.
- Close collaboration with the Office of General Counsel.
