Head of Development & Fundraising

The New Hampshire Director of Development (DoD) leads all aspects of the Chapter’s fundraising program, directing a team of five professionals and driving a multi‑year strategy to secure at least $3.5million in annual philanthropic contributions and to support the Chapter’s global conservation goals.

Recruit, coach, and retain high‑performing development staff and foster collaboration among a geographically dispersed team.

Work with senior leadership, the Board of Trustees, and the Development Committee to integrate fundraising strategy into the Chapter’s overall vision.

Manage the development team budget and evaluate results, developing corrective strategies as needed.

Ensure compliance with TNC policies, financial standards, and legal requirements, and manage negotiations for high‑profile agreements.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7years of related experience, including 5years managing a development team.

Experience building and executing comprehensive fundraising plans for a program or organization.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long‑term relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporations.

Strong financial acumen in budgeting and fundraising performance measurement.

Desired Qualifications Multilingual skills and cross‑cultural experience.

Expertise in capital campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving, including advanced gift‑planning concepts.

Hybrid Work Arrangements Monthly, the position is generally hybrid, with two days per week in the Concord or Newmarket offices. Frequent travel, occasional long hours and weekend work may be required.
