We partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Designs, develops, and optimizes tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.

Analyzes production issues and implements tooling solutions to improve efficiency and quality.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality, on new product introduction and existing product improvements.

Manages tooling lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, repair, and replacement.

Conducts root cause analysis of tooling failures and implements corrective and preventative actions.

Evaluates and recommends new tooling technologies and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Develops and maintains detailed tooling documentation, including specifications, drawings, and maintenance procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, die casting) and their associated tooling requirements.
• Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and manufacturing (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Mastercam).

Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond injection molding, such as stamping, casting, or machining.

Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques for tooling verification (e.g., Certification in a relevant field, such as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or a Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE).

Experience with simulation software for mold flow analysis or structural analysis of tooling components.
