Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and perform comprehensive patient assessments

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care

Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient response

Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate significant changes

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)

Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality-of-care standards

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs

Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Minimum of 6 months of recent clinical nursing experience

Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation

Strong patient assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
