Temporary Recruiter (90-Day Assignment)

Spencer Construction is seeking a motivated and organized Temporary Recruiter to support our high-volume hiring efforts for a 90-day assignment. This position will focus on recruiting skilled craft professionals for heavy civil construction projects, including Heavy Equipment Operators, Laborers, CDL Drivers, Foremen, Mechanics, and other field positions. The ideal candidate is experienced in full-cycle recruiting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple openings while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, databases, referrals, and other recruiting methods.

Review applications and screen candidates to determine qualifications.

Conduct phone and virtual interviews for craft and field positions.

Guide candidates through the application and hiring process.

Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.

Create, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.

Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.

Provide regular updates on recruiting activity and hiring progress.

Ensure a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Previous recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume construction setting, skilled trades, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Experience recruiting skilled labor, heavy equipment operators, or other craft workers preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
