Security Officers - Night Shift

The Role: Security Officer
This role provides on-site security coverage for Switch facilities. You protect people, property, and operations through patrols, access control, monitoring, and clear documentation. Your presence and judgment help maintain a safe, controlled environment in a mission-critical setting.

Patrol facilities on foot and by vehicle to maintain a visible security presence.
Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms and irregular activity.
Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
Respond to incidents by assessing the situation, requesting assistance when needed, and following escalation procedures.
Direct traffic and manage site flow when required.
Support shipping, receiving, and internal mail distribution as assigned.
Communicate clearly with staff, customers, and emergency responders.
Follow all legal, safety, and company requirements while on duty.
You make sound, timely decisions in routine security situations.
You communicate clearly and document events accurately.
You take responsibility for maintaining order and safety on site.
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Five or more years of prior security experience.
Experience working in controlled or high-security environments.
Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control tools.
On-site work across multiple facilities.
Willingness to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
