Human Resources Administrator
Salary Range: $45,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

About the Role
IMS Gear is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources Department while helping our Virginia Beach, Virginia, office run smoothly.
In this blended role, approximately 70% of your time will focus on HR administration—including employee records, onboarding, HRIS, benefits and payroll support, and compliance—and approximately 30% will focus on office administration, including front-desk coverage, visitor support, supplies, vendors, and facility coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper personnel records in accordance with record-retention requirements.

Process new hires, employee changes, transfers, and terminations.

Prepare HR reports and support personnel documentation.

Coordinate onboarding activities, including pre-employment screenings, new-hire paperwork, and orientation.

Assist with offboarding processes, including exit paperwork, exit interview scheduling, and company property returns.

Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.

Support recruiting initiatives, job fairs, and community outreach events.

Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general benefits questions, escalating complex issues when appropriate.

Support payroll and timekeeping processes, including attendance and paid time off tracking.

Assist with leave and absence tracking and related documentation.

Serve as first point of contact for employee questions and HR-related support.

Help coordinate employee recognition programs, engagement activities, and company events.

Welcome and assist visitors, employees, vendors, and candidates.

Manage incoming calls, mail, and visitor check-in processes.

Order and maintain office and conference room supplies.

Arrange travel and accommodations for visitors, international guests, and employees as needed.

Assist with planning and coordinating company meetings, training sessions, and events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

One to three years of experience in HR administration, HR coordination, or office administration.

Experience using HRIS and payroll systems required ; ADP experience preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
