Are you a people person who thrives on helping others? Do you enjoy solving problems and creating positive experiences? If so, we want YOU on our team! As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will meet with each client, assess their past and present drug use, and devise a course of treatment.
Essential Job Functions
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for new clients to evaluate needs and establish appropriate services.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
Provide ongoing individual therapy sessions and monitor client progress.
Facilitate group counseling sessions as appropriate.
Refer clients to appropriate community resources and specialized providers when indicated.
Review, evaluate, and modify treatment plans as clinically necessary.
Complete accurate and timely progress notes in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
Review and update treatment plans for assigned clients on a monthly basis.
Document all client interactions, assessments, and services provided in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Attend and actively participate in weekly staff meetings and clinical case reviews.
Maintain required professional licensure and certifications through ongoing continuing education and training.
Comply with all applicable HIPAA regulations and agency policies regarding confidentiality and privacy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
What We Look For
Education & Experience Requirements
State licensure in Addiction (ADT, CADC, CAC-AD, CSC)
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Exhibits compassion, empathy, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Efficient verbal and written communication skills.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system knowledge.
Clinical experience.
$6,000 sign-on bonus will be paid in quarterly installments of $1,500 every three months, contingent upon continued, in good standing employment.
