Caregiver Shifts start Immediately

Farmstead Living is seeking a dependable, compassionate PM Med Aid/Caregiver to join our care team. In this role, you will assist residents with daily care needs and safely administer medications.

Available Shift: PT or FT 3:00pm-11:30pm, EOW and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

Accurately administer prescribed and PRN medications according to the MAR

Review and follow care plan for each resident

Follow the "Five Rights" of medication administration

Document all medications given, refused, or withheld

Report medication errors or discrepancies immediately to nursing leadership

Maintain proper storage and security of medications

Documents and counts narcotics at the beginning and end of shift

Responds to call lights in a timely manner

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility support

Qualifications

Trained Medication Aide or other medication certifications is preferred.

Experience with medication administration will be extremely helpful.

Organized individual with attention to detail.

Careful, methodical, and efficient.

Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
