Compensation for Part-Time roles is p rorated based on experience and hours/shifts worked. Salary ranges listed in this posting reflect full-time roles.

Red Rocks Animal Center in Lakewood, CO, has been serving the community since 1998. We are a well-established, full-service hospital known for delivering exceptional veterinary care. From routine wellness exams and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics and internal medicine, we are committed to supporting the health and well‑being of every patient. Our facility is equipped to handle both everyday cases and more complex medical needs.

In-house Diagnostic Tools: In-house lab, digital radiography (including dental), and ultrasound.
Highly Skilled Support Staff: Our technicians are experienced in anesthetic monitoring, perioperative care, and provide round‑the‑clock monitoring for hospitalized patients.
Community Engagement: Strong partnerships with local rescue organizations.
Community‑Focused Care: We work closely with local rescue organizations and are committed to providing high‑quality, affordable veterinary services to pets in need.

Located just outside Denver, Lakewood offers easy access to some of Colorado's best outdoor recreation—from hiking and biking in the summer to skiing and snowboarding in the winter. The area is also home to a thriving food and craft beverage scene, cultural festivals, and year‑round farmers' markets.

We're seeking a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high‑quality care and enjoys the variety and pace of a busy general practice. A special interest in orthopedics is a plus, but not required. Health, dental, and vision insurance

Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
Maintaining accurate medical records
Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
Evaluate and monitor protocols for the daily running of the hospital from intake to discharge
Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible to be sure the highest standards are being upheld
Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
Current State Veterinary License
DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
Excellent surgical and dental skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care.
Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
Clinical Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals. Perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological and other necessary examinations. Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to the management of a high‑quality veterinary hospital.
Display effective communication with internal medical and hospital staff.
Professionalism: Work as part of a high‑quality, professional veterinary team with the ability to provide and receive appropriate constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand the management and finances of the veterinary hospital practice.
