Shift: Day 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30) / Night 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30); weekend shifts vary
Hours/Week: 36 hours/week
Employment Type: Contract (W-2)
Certifications: BLS required; Oncology experience preferred but not mandatory
Experience: Previous medical-surgical or telemetry experience ideal

Pay Rate: $59.18 per hour

What You'll Do:

Provide nursing care on oncology, medical-surgical, and telemetry units within a secure corrections environment
Float to various units as needed, ensuring consistent patient care across settings
Manage patients with active oncology diagnoses and other complex conditions
Administer medications and IV therapies, including Heparin protocols and PCA
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret ABGs; respond to emergency situations
Support patient care with respiratory management, feeding tube care, and renal therapies
Maintain documentation using EPIC and medication systems like Pyxis
Ensure safety and compliance in a secured correctional facility setting
What You Need:
Required:
Valid Ohio RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
EPIC charting experience
At least 1 year of recent med-surg or telemetry nursing experience
Preferred:
Oncology nursing experience
Experience with IV therapies, cardiac monitoring, and respiratory support
Ability to adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends
About the Assignment: This assignment is at a secure correctional health unit operated by a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio. The unit provides specialized care for inmates with complex medical needs, including active oncology treatments. The RN will support a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient healthcare in a controlled environment, ensuring high standards of patient safety and compliance.
