Head of Operations & Business Management

We are seeking two experienced Last-Mile Operations Managers to oversee daily delivery operations across multiple markets. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing dispatch operations, supporting Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), driving operational performance, and ensuring exceptional service execution.
The ideal candidate has experience leading large-scale last-mile delivery operations and can make critical decisions under pressure while maintaining high standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Amazon Logistics, Amazon DSP, Walmart Last Mile, or similar last-mile operations experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Lead daily last-mile delivery operations across multiple markets.
Manage and support dispatch teams to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time route execution.
Monitor live operations and quickly resolve delivery, driver, store, and operational issues.
Track, analyze, and improve key performance metrics, including On-Time Delivery, Completion Rate, Return Rate, and Service Quality.
Coach dispatchers and Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) to drive accountability and operational excellence.
Conduct regular field audits at stores, delivery stations, and DSP operations to ensure compliance with company standards, client expectations, and safety requirements.
Represent us during client meetings, executive site visits, operational reviews, and field inspections.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and safety standards.
Support new market launches, operational projects, and other leadership initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience managing last-mile delivery or transportation operations.
Experience with Amazon Logistics, Amazon DSP, Walmart Last Mile, FedEx Ground, UPS, OnTrac, Veho, or similar delivery operations strongly preferred.
Proven experience leading dispatch teams and managing high-volume operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and KPI analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel throughout Southern California for operational support, field audits, and client meetings.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends when business needs require.
