Pre-Litigation Attorney
Direct Counsel is partnering with a highly respected plaintiff-side class action firm in Los Angeles—widely regarded as a powerhouse in wage-and-hour and consumer class action litigation—to add a talented and motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to its growing team.
This firm is known for taking on regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies and winning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to representing the interests of employees. As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will play a crucial role in evaluating potential claims, engaging with clients, and striving for favorable resolutions before litigation.
Conduct supplemental intake calls with prospective clients as part of a secondary intake process to gather additional facts and documents necessary for drafting complaints and other initiating documents such as PAGA notices.
Investigate and gather information relating to legal entities and affiliate companies to ensure that the correct parties are being named in the complaints.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy relating to complaint filing decisions, including which claims to include, venue, jurisdiction and other related topics.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in employment law or a related field preferred.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
Passion for social justice and a commitment to representing the rights of employees.
