Are you passionate about preparing nutritious meals and serving older adults in your community? The LINC Caring Community / Palestine Senior Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. This role supports the Kitchen Manager in preparing, cooking, and serving daily meals that meet health and safety standards while creating a welcoming environment for seniors.

What You'll Do

Prepare and cook daily meals following established menus and recipes.

Assist with plating, portioning, and serving meals.

Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.

Support inventory and supply needs by reporting shortages and rotating stock.

Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and kitchen team to ensure efficient, high-quality service.

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or GED required; culinary training preferred.

At least 2 years of experience in food preparation (institutional or commercial kitchen preferred).

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Valid food handler's certification (or ability to obtain).

Team player with reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
