Registered Nurse Travel Job Telemetry Shift Nights

Overview

Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 09/28/2026 for a Weeks-long assignment on nights (3×12). Weekly pay range: $1,648–$1,709. No guaranteed hours. Setting: acute-care hospital, Med/Surg unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric Med Surg patients on a high-acuity unit, including monitoring and interpreting telemetry, ABGs, and clinical status.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy and central lines as appropriate, and perform insulin/diabetes management as needed.
• Support airway management and respiratory therapies, including non-invasive approaches and tracheostomy care when required.
• Assist with post-op and surgical care, including chest tube care, wound VAC management, feeding tube care, and post-angio/post-operative monitoring.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IV/Phlebotomy, Respiratory, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services) and participate in Rapid Response and patient transport as needed.
• Care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, AKI, trauma, TBI, isolation needs, and CIWA/substance withdrawal; ensure isolation precautions and safety throughout care.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Idaho or a compact license; license must be in hand at time of submittal.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred; travel experience required; Level II trauma experience preferred; previous charge experience not required.
• Epic (Epic) charting experience required.
• Ability to work nights in a Med‑Surg unit and float to other units as needed, provided competencies are met.
• Onboarding requirements: core items/labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite orientation completed.
