Description: Join us at ATI Metals as an Electrical Engineer based in Lockport, NY. This role is part of our technical career ladder, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent for Lockport Operations.
Drive continuous improvement in electrical power systems, controls, motors, drives, and related components.
Troubleshoot electrical equipment.
Support Maintenance, continuous improvement, training, daily operations, and electrical safety.
Lead Major Maintenance and Capital projects.
Apply engineering principles to enhance operating efficiency of automation systems.
Provide technical expertise for capital projects, process evaluation, and modifications.
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
~5+ to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with maintenance perspective on heavy industrial equipment.

Experience with motor control centers, PLC's, static drives, electro/mechanical devices, and power distribution.
Hands-on troubleshooting and decision-making skills in collaboration with union employees.
Understanding of Drive control theory and operation.
Leadership in continuous process improvement initiatives with diverse teams.
Understanding of electro-mechanical system integration.
Analyzing and troubleshooting process problems using data archive and analysis tools.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external customers.
Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
