Network Administrator II / Senior Systems EngineerOverviewWe're seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to support and maintain a hybrid environment spanning on-premises systems and cloud platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise infrastructure.What You'll Be DoingAdminister and support VMware environments, including virtual machines, clusters, and virtualization infrastructureManage cloud resources and services within Microsoft AzureSupport Windows Server environments, patching, upgrades, and system lifecycle managementMonitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availabilityMaintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutionsTroubleshoot complex infrastructure, storage, virtualization, and cloud-related issuesAutomate operational tasks using PowerShell or infrastructure automation toolsCollaborate with application, security, and network teams on enterprise initiativesIdeal BackgroundExperience with VMware, Azure, and Windows ServerStrong understanding of virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recoveryExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure environmentsAbility to work independently and drive technical solutions from design through implementationAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbsolute Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information processing, or a closely related field.- Four years of full-time or equivalent qualifying experience designing, installing, administering, and maintaining complex multi-site server operating systems and systems infrastructure, including storage, virtualization, and cloud- At least one year of experience performing lead duties- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience administering VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure services- Enterprise Windows Server administration experience- Experience provisioning and managing virtual machines across VMware and Azure- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity- Experience supporting system patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, monitoring, capacity, and performance- Experience supporting disaster recovery, backup, replication, or business continuity solutions- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems, virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, and enterprise applications- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound technical judgment- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Must be authorized to work in the United States- Must be open to contract-to-hire- Must be comfortable beginning the assignment 100% onsite- Must be aligned with the approved contract pay rate and expected conversion compensation before submissionExperience LevelIntermediate LevelJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Martinez, CA.available for this temporary role may include the following:
