Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist - Healthcare

$17 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY As the Front Desk/Receptionist, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the clinic and the acquisition and retention of patients by communicating with all potential patients who contact the clinic. You will be welcoming patients into the office, collecting payments, filing paperwork, assembling patient charts and creating an overall remarkable experience. As the Front Desk/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for many patients entering the building so it is expected that you present yourself in a professional manner that positively represents our office. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES Schedule out care plans for new patients as well as follow-up appointments Prepare waiting room and facilities for patient arrival and end of day to set the next day up for success Greet and manage new patient intake which includes creating a comfortable environment, check-in, paperwork completion and verification, collecting all payment and scanning and updating patient information (insurance, ID, etc.) Ensure all patients are appropriately processed at the end of treatment each day Maintain charts in an orderly fashion and ensure accuracy. Answer incoming calls and make calls while taking notes or messages Educate the patient on the services provided in the clinic Consistently offer the highest level of personalized customer service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES Multitask in a fast-paced environment Exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly and effectively connect with patients and staff Entrepreneurially orientated, driven to succeed and a commitment to achieve results Self-starter who can work independently and as a team within existing processes or operate effectively with ambiguity Ability to overcome objections with confidence Coordinate and balance needs of the patient and the clinic Strong oral and written communication skills Plan, organize, prioritize and streamline skills Team orientation and strong collaborator Present self in a professional and positive manner in attitude and appearance at all times Ability to maximize and apply internal systems, processes, and platforms Understand, align with and communicate the clinics mission, vision, and values Desire to define and take massive action to accomplish your own personal, professional and financial goals EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School diploma required 2-3 years work experience in reception, sales, customer service or related field preferred Experience in a multi-physician practice preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of both standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. BENEFITS Chiropractic/Naturopathic Employee Care and Family Discount PTO for Vacation and Sick Pay Professional Development Training Retirement Plan (2% Investment from Health in Balance) Job Type: Full-time Pay Structure: Training Rate at $17 (for the first three months) and then hourly rate of $18.00 per hour Schedule: 40 hour week Initial Schedule: MWF: 6:40am-3:00PM TH: 10:30am-7PM Long Term Schedule: The Long Term Schedule for this position will be different from the initial schedule and this change will go into effect about month or two into the job. The schedule will then include 4 full work days (about 8 hours) and 2 half days (one during the work week and one on Saturday). The week day hours will most likely be either the 6:40am-3pm or 11am-7pm shifts depending on the day, and the Saturday hours will most likely be 8am-12pm. Experience: Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Healthcare office: 1 year (Preferred) Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
