RN - Clinic, Immediate Care

Job Duties

Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.

Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines.

Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.

Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.

Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self‑directed.

Ability to demonstrate good judgement.

Good interpersonal skills.

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Work Experience

Required: None.

Certifications

Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice (Required).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (Required).

Certification in clinical specialty area (Preferred).

Compliance & Privacy

Physical and Environmental Demands

The role requires substantial physical effort, including lifting 50–100 pounds occasionally and 25–50 pounds frequently. Routine duties involve exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications and hazardous waste. The incumbent works in patient‑care areas, directly with patients and specimens that may contain communicable diseases.
