HR Generalist - Employee Relations & Recruiting

Skyline Furniture is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations in a growing furniture manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with the Director of Human Resources to administer HR programs, maintain compliance, support employee relations, and assist with onboarding, benefits administration, and training coordination.

Support compliance with Federal, State, and local employment laws , including accurate recordkeeping and personnel file maintenance

Assist with preparation, maintenance, and auditing of employee records and HR documentation

Act as a first-line resource for employee questions related to policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR matters

Assist the Director of Human Resources with employee concerns, investigations, and resolution of workplace issues

Assist with administration of medical, dental, vision, and workers' compensation programs

Assist with processing weekly payroll, including data entry, timekeeping, and calculation of wages and deductions

Support recruiting and hiring efforts, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and onboarding logistics

Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding to support a positive and compliant employee experience

Assist in coordinating and administering HR-developed training programs, including distribution of training materials, learning objectives, and assessments

Track training completion and maintain related records

Provide logistical support for training related to safety, quality, technical skills, harassment prevention, and other required programs

Assist in preparing internal HR communications related to policies, procedures, benefits, and training initiatives

Support reporting and data collection related to HR metrics , compliance, and departmental goals

2-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and benefits administration

Collaborative, service-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the HR function
