Job Civil Engineer Intern Traffic Location Lenexa KS or Chesterfield MO Build Your Future With GBAGBA Companies is welcoming Civil Engineering students to join us this upcoming summer for an internship in our Transportation market focusing on projects within our Traffic Group Interns at GBA Companies gain hands on experience in a collaborative work environment and have an opportunity to work side by side with industry experts We treat each intern as an individual and have the unique ability to offer rotational opportunities for students who are still identifying their path Our interns will work with engineering software such as Civil3D AutoCAD and MicroStation
What Youll Do As a Civil Engineering Intern youll Assist with design and 3D modeling of bridges
Support quality control processes and follow client design standards
Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates
Participate in field assignments such as construction inspections
Assist in the layout and design of traffic signals roadway lighting pavement markings and signing
Analyze traffic operations to determine levels of service
Review crash data to identify correctable patterns
Perform traffic volume analysis and forecasting
Prepare Traffic Impact Study TIS and Traffic Design Study documents
Use traffic simulation modeling tools to generate operational data and graphics
What Youll Bring Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program
Experience with AutoCAD MicroStation and Excel software is preferred
Prior Internship is andor related experience is a plus
Involved in campus community and other volunteer activities and or organization
