Buyer - Procurement and Inventory for Industrial Distribution

We sell to a broad base of customers in industries such as electronic component and equipment manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, water & waste treatment, metal finishing, pollution control and life sciences companies.

Purchases and controls inventory of all products for Branch Office

Checks stock and replenishes as needed

Accounts for and reacts quickly to all backorders and transfers while maintaining minimal lead time

Continually follows strategic inventory plan, watching for trends

Reconciles Accounts Payable and Purchase Order reports, checking for accuracy

Continually utilizes sourcing techniques to obtain better pricing, material, etc

3-5 years Purchasing experience or college degree in Supply Chain Management with internship

Product/plastics industry knowledge a plus

Experience on computerized purchasing system

Excellent communication to include vendors & inside staff (Warehouse, Sales and Management)

Microsoft Office suite experience computer skills
