Hospital Paramedic

Experience & Hard Requirements

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 1 year of active Paramedic experience required.

Strict Requirement: EMT-only submissions will not be considered for this role.

Position Overview

The Ambulance Paramedic provides direct pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation within the Wyoming State Scope of Practice for Paramedics. Operating independently or under physician/provider supervision, this role administers emergency interventions, manages medication delivery, ensures station/vehicle operational readiness, and supports clinical care across other departments at Ivinson as requested.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Assessment: Perform complete, population-specific clinical assessments, establish care priorities, and administer emergency medical treatment per pre-established protocols.

Medication Administration: Safely administer emergency medications and treatments in compliance with Wyoming State statutes and paramedic scope guidelines.

Documentation: Accurately document all clinical assessments, procedures, and patient reactions using the WATRS reporting system.

Operational Readiness: Maintain, clean, sanitize, and restock ambulances and station facilities to ensure constant service readiness.

Interdepartmental Support: Assist with clinical patient care in other Ivinson departments under the direction of attending providers and Registered Nurses within paramedic scope of practice.

Resource Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel, and department resources to meet organizational goals and safety standards.

Qualifications & Scope

Experience: 1+ years of clinical paramedic experience.

Licensure: Active Paramedic license in good standing.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Wyoming State pre-hospital protocols and proficiency with WATRS documentation software.
