Job Description The Dental Assistant will provide essential support in general dentistry procedures within a medium-sized team of 4-7 staff at a single clinic location. This role involves assisting dentists during treatments, preparing patients, maintaining sterile conditions, managing record keeping, and supporting scheduling using dedicated dental software. The assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth clinical operations and patient care.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for dental procedures in general dentistry
Assist dentists chairside during treatments
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Maintain and service dental equipment regularly
Keep accurate patient records using dental software
Manage inventory of dental supplies
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Support scheduling and coordinate patient appointments
Assist with dental radiography as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in chairside assistance during dental procedures
Knowledge of infection control practices and sterilization techniques
Skill in dental radiography and patient communication
Proficiency in record management using dedicated dental software
Strong time management and team collaboration abilities
