Neonatologist (Full Time)

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a full‑time Neonatologist to join our Neonatology‑Perinatology Department. You will be part of a highly skilled team providing the highest level of care for critically ill and premature newborns within our 100‑bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including 75 Level IV and 25 Level III private rooms. Additionally, you will provide coverage at the Akron Children’s Summa NICU, a 22‑bed Level III unit.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver expert care to sick and premature newborns in both the Level IV and Level III NICU settings.

Attend and manage high‑risk deliveries.

Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for extremely premature, surgical, cardiac, and ECMO patients to optimize outcomes.

Collaborate with a growing multidisciplinary team of 8 neonatologists and 40 neonatal nurse practitioners.

Qualifications

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neonatology.

Ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license.

Experience in neonatal intensive care and high‑risk deliveries.

Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
