As a Buyer, you will work as part of a team to purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment for near-mine or in-mine facilities following established purchasing policies and procedures. Performs activities that optimize price, delivery, and terms. RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the continuous improvement and execution of NGM’s purchasing strategy, policies, and guidelines regarding materials, categories, and contracts; accountable for value-added, cost-savings, and other performance metricsResearch new suppliers based on changes in business needs including seeking lower cost, higher quality, or more on time vendorsSupport procurement of goods through effective sourcing agreements in terms of costs, quality, quantity, warranty, and availabilityResearch and compare pricing, select suppliers, and issue request for quotesProcess purchase orders for material, equipment, and servicesEnsure timely and professional service to user departments in the execution of purchase ordersTrack orders and expedite as necessaryMonitor stock and initiate orders within established guidelinesWork directly with multiple departments to meet procurement and fulfillment needs critical to the operationFill special orders for employees/other departments on as needed basisCollaborate with suppliers and provide support for supplier on-boarding processDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliersEnsure the correct method of transportation and delivery for goods Maintain and support all purchasing data and utilize reports in ERP.Provide suggestions to improve transactional practices for activities related to the materials purchasing processFollow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of oneself and othersDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coachingDevelop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending training or conferences, and reading specialist mediaSupport management of purchase orders from order sourcing to full payment to supplierBe available for after hour emergency procurement activities when scheduled rotation for “on call” is in placeFollow organizations sourcing and procurement standard and utilize operating systems approved for purchase order execution and managementQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field (preferred); or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with fundamental concepts, practices, and processes in ProcurementCritical thinking and negotiation skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Full timePosting Date: 2026-08-06
