Unit Information:
The unit has 20 beds and a staff of 28.
The day shift includes a charge nurse, several RNs, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator.
The night shift includes a charge nurse, RNs, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator.
Patient ratios are 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift.
The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring and related medical equipment.
The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner/Power Chart.
Skill Set:
Candidates must possess telemetry certification and BLS certification.
Preference will be given to those with medical-surgical certification.
Typical procedures performed include telemetry monitoring, Foley insertion, and IV starts.
Ideal candidates are outgoing, enjoy fast-paced environments, and are team players.
Additional Information:
Every other weekend is required.
