Human Resources Generalist - Payroll/Recruitment (Full Time)

Reporting to the VP, HR, the HR Advisor partners with regional People Leaders to drive business results through the implementation of talent strategies and solutions. This role will provide tactical management of all day-to-day talent focus areas, including recruitment, performance management, development, compensation and succession planning. This role is the lead contact for HR in our Central region (Texas and Denver) and the position is located full time in our Austin or Houston office. They provide input on both interpreting company-wide policies and local guidelines and contribute to the development of our company-wide framework with an expert regional perspective.

Collaborate and coach managers and team members to effectively manage performance management and employee relations issues.

Assist with Performance Reviews and other HR development processes.

Travel to local field sites regularly to build effective working relationships and develop business acumen.

Enable leaders to successfully recruit for, interview and select top talent.

Work with the business leaders to execute full cycle recruitment activities, providing expertise on sourcing, interviewing, employment and background checks, testing, offers, and onboarding.

Monitor recruitment process to ensure optimal hiring decisions are made, including use of candidate discussion/scoring matrix and facilitate decision making discussion with hiring teams.

Coach leaders on BPD’s pay- for- performance philosophy.

Provide local support on the coordination and delivery of any team member, leadership, or management development training programs. May coordinate and deliver specialized training in such areas as: recruitment, performance management, team building and mentoring.

Assist with the development, design, organization, and implementation of programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels (i.e., Assist with facilitating and delivering employee and leadership training programs as well as regular coordination with other facilitators and internal subject matter experts in such areas as: recruitment, performance management, respect in the workplace, and team building.

Consult with payroll on a timely basis to ensure processes and systems are accurate and effective.

Collaborate with the HR team to continuously create and improve procedures and processes for People operations optimization.

Update and maintain People information in HRIS system and on Brookfield Residential intranet.

3-5+ years of progressive HR/Business experience demonstrating knowledge of talent development, recruitment strategy, performance management, and compensation.

Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline.

Demonstrate customer service orientation.

Demonstrated project management, organizational and exceptional time management skills.
