Position Summary

Job Summary

The EVS Lead supervises and guides staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality, and service. The role ensures compliance with state regulations related to cleaning processes, waste removal, and infection control. The scope of supervision varies, including floor oversight and staffing level assurance. The lead reports pertinent information to departmental leadership and performs staff duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the Environmental Services staff; coordinate scheduling, staffing coverage, and special projects.

Provide training and re‑training of staff and new employees on equipment and company policies.

Maintain high‑quality appearance in assigned areas, ensuring cleaning standards are met, supplies are stocked, chemicals are stored, and equipment is functional.

Perform other duties as assigned, including staffing shortages or special needs.

Allocate resources—supplies, labor, services—to meet fiscal guidelines on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Develop professional relationships with key personnel, respond to requests, participate in joint inspections, and provide follow‑up.

Education

High School Diploma or GED (candidate may be in process of obtaining GED). Required

Other basic college courses (preferred)

Vocational or specialized training Post‑High School (preferred)

Experience

1 year Environmental Services experience. Required

1. year Leadership experience. Preferred
2. years Healthcare experience. Preferred

2 years job‑related duty. Preferred

2 years supervision. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Current and valid Arizona driver’s license. Required

Minimum age 21 years. Required
