Remote Care Audiologist

Provide position specific audiological services including consultation, diagnostic evaluation and ongoing habilitative and rehabilitative treatment, services and education to patients and their families.

This weekday role offers a flexible four, 10-hour shift schedule and the opportunity to practice in either inpatient or outpatient environments. We welcome both new graduates and experienced audiologists, with a strong preference for candidates who bring pediatric-focused clinical experience and a genuine passion for working with children. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to improving the lives of pediatric patients through compassionate, high-quality care.

Collaboration and education to patients, families, educational contacts, and other healthcare providers for continued care.

• ​Stay current with audiology professional developments and literature.
• Follow all legal, HIPAA, ethical and compliance guidelines related to an audiology practice.
• Support student and university outreach programs after two years of experience and after one year of employment at PCH.

Accurate billing
Adherence to current policies, procedures, improvement initiatives, and guidelines

Master’s degree in Audiology
Audiology professional licensure
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

• Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
• Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
