HR Generalist - Full Time (Remote)

Position Overview BME Strategies is looking for a highly detail-oriented and organized People & Culture (P&C) Coordinator to join our People, Operations, & Finance team. This is a new, hands-on role that offers meaningful exposure to the internal operations of a growing public health consulting firm, spanning across talent, people operations, and culture. A natural fit for this role is someone who thrives on variety, finds satisfaction in improving processes, and is comfortable navigating the pace and shifting priorities of a growing consulting environment. Key Responsibilities Recruitment, Hiring, Onboarding [50%]

Run end-to-end searches for early career and non-management positions, including Associate and Senior Associate.

This includes recruiting candidates, building out interview evaluations, conducting First-Round Interviews, scheduling Panel Interviews, and onboarding candidates.

Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and share updates throughout the search process.

Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS; Additional Recruitment, Hiring, Onboarding Responsibilities for all searches:

Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews and other hiring-related logistics as needed.

Complete employment reference checks as part of the hiring process.

Contribute to onboarding and offboarding logistics, onboarding materials, and coordination with managers.

Update and maintain hiring, onboarding, and P&C-related templates, including job descriptions.

Assist with and track revisions to org-wide P&C documents, including Handbooks & Guides.

Support overall process improvement initiatives.

Support creation of a professional development program and internal hiring process, led by the Senior Manager, P&C.

Sending out reminder emails to staff as needed, re: completing performance reviews, filling our surveys, etc.

Support employee engagement initiatives and firm culture activities.

Support employee surveys and compile feedback.

Coordinate wellness activities and team-building events.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, talent acquisition, administration, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree.

Experience independently conducting end-to-end searches for new roles, from recruitment through interviews and onboarding.

Experience with drafting job descriptions, resume review, and candidate selection.

Strong project management ability, including tracking tasks, flagging issues proactively, and follow-through without close oversight.

Proficiency with standard office and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace)

Familiarity with supporting a people operations team; e.g. performance management, professional development, talent acquisition.

Familiarity with HR information systems (ideally Workable).

Exposure to people operations functions.

Work Environment This is a full-time position based in a home office environment within the U.BME Strategies in a remote-first organization. This role may require occasional travel to client sites, conferences, or meetings as required.

6+ weeks total leave, including paid vacation, sick time, personal leave, and floating holidays;
