InAlliance is seeking a compassionate and dependable Independent Living Facilitator to provide 1:1 support to an adult with developmental disabilities living in the Davis community. You will provide care, fellowship, and protection while supporting them to be as independent as possible.
About the Person You Will Support The individual enjoys creative activities such as drawing, arts and crafts, and puzzles; spending time outdoors; walks through local parks; visiting pet stores; and enjoying movies and music. They thrive with routine, familiarity, and a calm, supportive environment.
A Typical Shift After the person supported returns home from their day program, you'll assist with meals, medications, preferred activities, and community experiences while providing supervision and encouragement throughout the day. Your role is to create a safe, engaging, supportive environment that promotes independence, choice, and quality of life.
Schedule Monday-Friday: 2:30pm-10pm
1st, 3rd, and 5th Weekends: Friday 10pm-Sunday 10pm
Summary The Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) provides essential support, care, and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them to live independently.
Essential Functions Assist participants with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and support the health and well‑being of participants, including medication administration and attending medical appointments.
Help with meal preparation, grocery shopping, housekeeping, and laundry.
Assist with budgeting and paying bills.
Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities, social events, and recreational pursuits.
Provide or arrange for transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
Implement individualized support plans, including behavioral intervention strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely records of support provided, including daily notes, incident reports, and financial logs.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to maintain and enhance skills.
Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
Qualifications High school diploma.
Previous experience in a support or caregiving role.
CPR/First Aid Certification.
Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks.
Must be able to verify employment eligibility under USCIS I-9 requirements.
Driver’s license and auto insurance.
Preferred Education and Experience AA Degree in a related field.
Previous experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
CPR/First Aid Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
