Manufacturing Inventory / Material Handler

About the Role: The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the production environment. This position is responsible for the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support continuous manufacturing operations. The role requires close coordination with production teams to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize downtime caused by material shortages. Additionally, the Material Handler will uphold safety standards and maintain organized work areas to promote a productive and hazard-free workplace. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the overall operational efficiency and quality output of the Warehouse process. Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Forklift certification or equivalent training. Familiarity with computerized inventory management systems. Responsibilities: Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and supplies Transport materials to designated production areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking material movement and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with production supervisors to prioritize material delivery and ensure continuous workflow. Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits to support inventory accuracy. Identify and report any material quality issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Skills: The required skills enable the Material Handler to efficiently manage the movement and storage of materials, ensuring production lines are consistently supplied without interruption. Operating forklifts and other equipment safely is essential to prevent workplace accidents and maintain productivity. Attention to detail is critical for accurate inventory tracking and identifying any discrepancies or quality issues. Preferred skills such as forklift certification and familiarity with inventory software enhance the ability to perform tasks more effectively and support continuous improvement initiatives.
