ADVERTISING TITLE: This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS position located at Central Office in the Office of Human Resources.

The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive support and guidance for agency employees and HR staff by administering retirement and benefits processes, certifying payroll and salary actions, managing deductions and premium adjustments, maintaining personnel records, responding to benefits and retirement inquiries, and assisting with related HR programs and events.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Act as a consultant for Central Office OHR and other Human Resources staff to include contacting People First, Division of Retirement, and other departments within FDC on their behalf and on behalf of employees in their area.

Process and certify retirement applications (Service Retirement, Disability Retirement, DROP, Investment Plan, Special Risk Administrative Support Class) for agency employees.

Set-up payroll deductions for underpaid retirement contributions in People First for employees.

Respond to inquiries and requests received via email, voicemail, or phone from employees, managers, and HR personnel regarding issues pertaining to benefits enrollment, premiums, eligibility, QSCs, and errors in a timely manner as well as retirement plans, classes, eligibility, vesting, and error in a timely manner.

Receive, process, verify, and maintain personnel related documents, related to retirement and benefits.

Serve as lead for the DROP Split reporting in FRS Online System.

Dental - FDC offers five separate dental plans with multiple options and rates for each plan type with monthly premiums as low as $12.64.

Life - FDC offers a $25,000 group term life insurance plan to eligible OPS staff through Securian at the low monthly premium of $3.78. When enrolled in basic life, employees may also elect child life and spouse life insurance plans.

Retirement - As an OPS employee, the Florida FICA Alternative Plan with Corebridge Financial affords you an excellent opportunity to help accumulate money for a secure retirement. You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. Must possess High School Diploma or its equivalent.
