The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience generating all purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies. This individual will also be required to plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories in support of production schedules and business demands.

Sources equipment, goods, and services along with vendor identification and management
Reviews purchase requisitions and confers with suppliers to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
Support the development and implementation of new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
Enters purchase orders for OE, AM, and stock for (4) brands. Assists in input and updating min/max data on stock/raw material.
Coordinates all domestic subcontracting and kitting programs.
Places purchase orders for assigned material and services to support production and business operations.
Maintains purchase order delivery dates.
Maintains D365 ERP data for prices, lead time, etc. Processes returns to suppliers via the nonconformance procedure, request return authorization numbers, process shipping memos, bills of lading and labels.
Coordinates discrepant material with CWS's shipping department.
Assist finance in the resolution of accounts payable issues as necessary.

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business. 3-5 years' experience purchasing in a sub-contract, manufacturing, or project environment

• Ability to gather and analyze data
• Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis on excel
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
