Cleaning/ Janitorial Maintenance

Custodian/JanitorAs a Custodian/Janitor, you will be responsible for keeping the building clean and orderly. You will be asked to perform light to heavy cleaning such as cleaning floors, cleaning windows, removing trash and recyclables and vacuuming.ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs and office space.Empty trash and garbage containers.Replace air conditioner filters.Clean debris from sidewalk.Service, clean, or supply restrooms.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education DegreeAbility to multitask while staying organized As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status.
