Buyer - Full time - Supply Chain Purchasing

A Purchasing Agent purchases products and manages inventory levels of products for Codale to resell. Their duties include maintaining, and forecasting product inventory levels, researching new and replacement products, negotiating costs and discounts of products and any freight and service charges with suppliers, processing and managing purchasing and maintaining inventory levels across the Codale network.

Negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials.

Coordinate shipping schedule with vendors

Manage incoming material/inventory and follow up with suppliers on delivery requirements

Developing and implementing purchasing strategies for Codale Electric

Define, evaluate, and implement purchasing processes and procedures that lead to greater efficiencies and cost savings for the company

Provide research and comparison data for suppliers, vendors, goods, and services

Provide recommendations for most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product, quality of service, and cost-efficiency

Coordinating inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs

Strategically evaluate and implement ways that improve the purchasing system and processes

Working knowledge of supply chain management

Extensive experience with Microsoft suite – Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook

Electrical construction sales or sales (1+ years preferably)

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and performing deskwork.

Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents

Vision abilities required, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus for reviewing documents
