We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support the daily administration of Human Resources while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys process improvement, data management, compliance, and creating efficient, employee-focused HR operations.

Working closely with the Human Resources Manager , this position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring HR systems and processes operate efficiently.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering day-to-day Human Resources operations, maintaining employee records, performing quality assurance of HRIS data, and supporting compliance and reporting. This position ensures the accuracy of personnel information, processes employee transactions, coordinates HR administrative functions, and provides exceptional customer service to employees and managers.

HR Administration

Administer employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, leave administration, and separations.

Maintain electronic employee personnel files and HR records.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment documentation.

HRIS Administration & Quality Assurance

Maintain employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Perform routine audits of employee data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Identify and correct data discrepancies across HR systems.

Validate HRIS workflows and system processes.

Test new HRIS functionality and system enhancements prior to implementation.

Support HRIS upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.

Develop and maintain HR system documentation and user procedures.

Generate recurring and ad hoc HR reports.

Coordinate required employee acknowledgments and policy updates.

Maintain HR forms, templates, and standard operating procedures.

Reporting & Data Management

Prepare HR metrics and reports.

Monitor employee data for completeness and accuracy.Support workforce planning and organizational reporting initiatives.

Develop dashboards and recurring HR operational reports.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve HR administrative processes.

Recommend automation opportunities within HR systems.

Assist in implementing new HR technologies and workflows.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting HR operations.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Three (3) or more years of Human Resources administrative or HR operations experience.

Experience maintaining employee records within an HRIS.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Experience supporting Human Resources within a government contracting environment.

Experience with iSolved HRIS or similar Human Capital Management systems.

Experience performing HR data audits and quality assurance.

Familiarity with federal employment regulations and HR compliance requirements.

Maintain exceptional HRIS data accuracy and integrity.

Establish routine HRIS quality assurance and audit processes.

Improve HR operational efficiency through standardized procedures and automation.

Support a positive employee experience through responsive HR service.

Assist in maintaining compliance with employment regulations and internal policies.

Compensation is determined based on the employee's primary work location, applicable labor market, experience, education, certifications, security clearance, and other job-related factors. Candidates working outside the DMV may receive a different salary range consistent with local market conditions and applicable law.
