LPN Licensed Practical Nurse Temp / Seasonal

Job Summary The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician, ensuring donor safety and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and evaluation of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).

Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results.

Evaluate donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating donor transport to emergency care.

Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.

Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.

Manage employee incidents and assess need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.

Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, with graduate‑level nursing education meeting state requirements.

Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.

Current CPR and AED certification.

Completion of state IV therapy requirements.

Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
