Duties

Operate CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision metal parts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications
Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance
Program CNC lathes using G-code and M-code languages, ensuring accurate machining operations
Interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to verify part dimensions and tolerances
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges,
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain efficiency and safety
Collaborate with team members on tooling selection, machine setup, and process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles
Requirements:
Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/M-code)
Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting complex technical drawings
Knowledge of machining tools, manual machining techniques, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and tooling setup
Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspection
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently
Mechanical aptitude combined with a commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement practices
