Resumes give the hiring staff a snapshot of your work experience. We are seeking skilled machinists to support the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery used in railroad track operations. This role also involves the manufacturing and assembly of components for track maintenance equipment.

Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety and operations

Perform a variety of mechanical tasks related to the repair of heavy machinery

Manufacture parts and assemble components for track maintenance machines

Operate hand tools and shop equipment including saws, drills, grinders, and more

Journeyman Machinist: Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal layout and fitting, with or without technical drawings. Must qualify in SMAW and FCAW welding processes that include 2F, 3F and 4F positions. Operate forklifts, light cranes, and car moving equipment. Strong background in equipment maintenance, especially with vehicles, heavy equipment, power transmissions, and fluid power systems (hydraulic and pneumatic). Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, and mechanical system assembly is preferred.

Journeyman status is preferred; however, candidates with less experience may be considered for student machinist positions.

CNC Machinist (Highly Desired): Proficient in operating manual, NC, and CNC milling machines and lathes. Must have experience programming CNC machines.

Mechanical aptitude

18 years of age or older

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical experience

Able to work inside/outside and be on your feet daily Environment: Shop/Yard Work on and around heavy equipment
