TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Greece, New York, 14626!

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing diagnoses such as acute kidney injury, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, altered mental status, and a variety of infections
Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement as mandatory competencies
Manage peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and various oxygen delivery methods including nasal cannula, face masks, and portable oxygen tanks
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including SCD pumps, Bear Hugger, wound vac, and tube feeding pumps
Adhere to isolation precautions and float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility demands
Active, unencumbered New York State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
Proficiency with Epic EMR (hard requirement)
Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Prior experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management in an acute care setting
Familiarity with wound vac, tube feeding pumps, and other specialized equipment listed above
Experience caring for patients with sepsis, COVID-19, or complex infectious diagnoses
PCT support is available on all units, assisting with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living — allowing RNs to focus on clinical care
