Schedule: 36 Hours (Nights / Every Other Weekend)

About the Maternal Child Health/Labor & Delivery Department at Boston Medical Center

Registered Nurses in Labor and Delivery work across the unit from antepartum to within the Labor and Delivery triage unit in order to provide the highest quality of care to our diverse patient population. As a Magnet recognized organization, our L&D team has a strong quality improvement focus and our nurses are always developing unique solutions for their patients.

As an RN in the Maternal Child Health/Mother Baby Department, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient‑centered care model you will be supported by a nursing organization, and will be able to deliver excellent care to your patients that they deserve.

Deliver nursing care in the Maternal Child Health/Mother Baby Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients

Communicate with various healthcare team members, patients, and their families

Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues

Enter and interpret computerized data/information

Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization

Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects

Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

1+ years of RN experience preferred

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in certain units

Nursing degree: Basic computer proficiency

Fluency in another language a plus

38.05 – $75.33 per hour. Total compensation includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
