Security Officers (Part & Full-Time Shifts)

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Motorist in Orlando, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.81 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, buildings, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public-facing spaces, verifying authorized access, checking credentials when required, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.

Support day-to-day operations by remaining visible on location, assisting with directional questions, observing for policy violations, and following Allied Universal procedures for incident reporting and escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

Be at least 21 years of age.

CPR certification is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
