Managing & Associate Attorney

*Job Summary*

Fulkerson Estate Planning & Elder Law LLC is a boutique law firm in Liberty, MO that practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate and trust administration, and guardianships. We currently have one attorney and one legal assistant but are looking to add an additional attorney followed by a paralegal.

This Associate Attorney position is a career-track position and will work in our Liberty, Missouri office. You will support the senior attorney in all of the matter types we handle. It is also our expectation that you will quickly grow into managing your own independent caseload of client matters.

• Duties*
• Support senior attorney in all matter types
• Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney with precision and clarity.
• Meet with clients to understand their goals and develop customized estate plans that align with their wishes.
• Handle probate, trust administration and guardianship matters
• Assist with preparation of Medicaid Applications
• Requirements*
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active license to practice law in Missouri. Will need to obtain Kansas license within one year of hire.
• Proven experience in estate planning or probate with a strong understanding of trust and estate laws (we would prefer someone with 2-4 years of estate planning or probate experience but are open to training a person with less experience who is a good fit for the firm)
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and consistent legal documents.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
