A highly respected land use and development practice is seeking a Land Use and Zoning Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Miami office. Advise developers, investors, and property owners on complex zoning, entitlement, permitting, and regulatory matters while working on high‑profile development projects throughout Florida.

Attorneys will work closely with clients and project teams throughout the development lifecycle, helping navigate regulatory requirements and government approval processes while minimizing project risk.

Guide clients through local and state governmental approval processes.

Assist with zoning applications, comprehensive plan amendments, variances, special exceptions, and related entitlements.

Provide strategic advice regarding development risk, regulatory compliance, and project positioning.

Support clients with permitting, site plan approvals, and development‑related regulatory requirements.

Analyze municipal, county, regional, and state land use regulations.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Prepare legal memoranda, zoning analyses, applications, and regulatory submissions.

Represent client interests before governmental agencies, boards, commissions, and regulatory authorities.

Assist with environmental compliance and development‑related due diligence matters.

Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting land use, zoning, and development projects.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical business‑focused legal advice.

Minimum of 5 years of land use and zoning law experience.

Experience advising developers, investors, property owners, or commercial clients on development matters.

Experience navigating local government and state regulatory agencies.

Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong academic credentials preferred.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Land use and zoning law.
