You’ll be a key partner to the HR Director and a go-to resource for our hospital teams as we scale, supporting HR processes and systems, owning compliance requirements across our network, and supporting our people with onboarding.We open multiple new hospitals every year, and our HR team is growing along with the business. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys wearing many HR hats — who gets energized by building efficient processes, raising the bar on HR practices, and finding smarter ways to get things done. HRIS & Paycom AdministrationServe as a Paycom administrator, including data entry, position management, user access & security, and system troubleshootingMaintain data integrity across all employee records, PAFs, and system updatesBuild and deliver ad hoc reports and analytics to support leadership decision-makingSupport the hospital managers with the full onboarding process for all new team members, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from offer to day oneOwn the end-to-end onboarding workflow for new veterinarians, including new hire paperwork, credentialing documentation, DEA and state license verification, and veterinary school record trackingTrack and maintain active license records for all clinical staff, flagging renewals and expirations proactivelyManage applicant tracking and background check processes for required positions in coordination with hiring managers and the recruiting teamPayroll Support & BackupServe as a knowledgeable backup to the payroll manager, processing or auditing payroll as neededComplianceOwn multi-state employment law compliance across all hospital locations, monitoring regulatory changes, and proactively updating practices and educating managersManage EEO-1 reporting, OSHA recordkeeping, and labor law posting requirementsTrack and audit I-9 and E-Verify compliance for all new hiresCoordinate and track completion of annual compliance training across the organizationCoordinate and track completion of manager training across the organizationPartner with the HR Director to update the employee handbook with HR policies and proceduresTrack workers' compensation reporting, providing hospital support, and follow up on reporting obligationsMaintain organized, audit-ready personnel filesRespond to and process court orders, including subpoenas, and other legal employment-related orders, ensuring timely and compliant handling in coordination with legal counsel as appropriateAssociate RelationsServe as a trusted first point of contact for associate questions, concerns, and workplace issuesCoach managers on employee relations matters, corrective action, and documentation best practicesConduct exit interviews and summarize findings to identify trends and share insights with the HR Director and leadershipProcess employment verifications and unemployment claimsHR Projects & Business SupportDrive HR projects that support our hospital ownersPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and hospital leadership to align HR with business needsSupport the development and rollout of programs, training, and initiatives that strengthen the team member experienceMonitor the HR inbox and triage as neededMonitor and triage the company mailbox as neededBachelor’s in business admin, Human Resources, or a related field, requiredPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required (or active pursuit with a clear timeline to completion)Strong understanding of federal and multi-state employment law is requiredAt least 5+ years of experience in Human ResourcesRequired to have experience working in organizations with multiple entitiesHands-on Paycom experience strongly preferred; familiarity with HRIS configuration and administration is requiredExperience in the Veterinary field is desiredMinimum QualificationsMust have a genuine service mentality to HR — eager to respond to hospital teams promptly, follows through consistently, and makes every interaction feel supported and valuedStrong communicator who builds trust quickly with team members at all levels — from front desk staff to senior leadershipA self-starter who brings solutions, not just problems, and thrives without a lot of hand-holdingPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to communicate effectively with others online or telephonically.Must be able to travel as necessary to Team meetings and hospitals, as needed.Company-Provided BenefitsMedical — Two plan options to fit your needs — including an HSA-eligible plan with a company contribution401(k) with Company Match — We invest in your future, not just your presentShort-Term Disability — Income protection when you need it most, fully covered by the companyLife Insurance — Peace of mind for you and your loved ones, on usPTO & Paid Holidays — Recharge, refresh, and come back ready to crush itRemote/Hybrid Flexibility — Work where you do your best workPaid Maternity Leave — Because family comes firstEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) — Confidential support when life gets complicatedHR Development Budget — We invest in your growth through certifications, conferences, and continuing educationVoluntary Benefits AvailableDental, Vision, Long-Term Disability, and additional voluntary benefits to customize your package to fit your life
