Contract & Claims Manager Location: Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
We are seeking a sharp, strategic Contract & Claims Manager to lead contract execution, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation for high-value projects at our Portsmouth facility. In this role, you will protect our contractual rights, manage the complete lifecycle of incoming and outgoing claims, and optimize project returns in close collaboration with our Legal, Finance, and Project Control teams.
Contract Execution: Drive project procurement strategies, manage contract extensions, and oversee change orders, delay management, and dispute resolutions.
Claim Management: Identify, prepare, and negotiate outgoing claims while developing robust defense strategies against incoming claims.
Manage escalation issues with strategic suppliers, conduct commercial audits, and align with global corporate functions.
Cost Controls: Partner with the Cost Control Group to manage variations, bank guarantees, cash flow, and back-charges.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in capital project contract management, commercial management, or claims mitigation.
strong negotiation skills with a deep understanding of legal frameworks, arbitration/ADR, and contract structures.
